Georgina & Joe

The property we were married at was a private property in Tasmania and we came across it by chance. I had seen the home online, in a featured real estate section of a newspaper site. I instantly fell in love with the property and pictured having a wedding there (Joe and I weren’t engaged yet!!). When Joe popped the question – about a year later – I went hunting for the home that had stayed in my head. I researched it, contacted real estate agents but had no luck in tracking down the owners. We started to look at venues in Tasmania anyway, we wanted a ‘destination wedding’ and had always loved Tassie. We visited a winery in Launceston it was there we met a wonderful stylist (who we ended up hiring). We told her about Lake House, and she started to laugh. Incredibly she knew the owners and would ask if we could have our wedding there. They said yes, the rest just fell into place and we believe it was meant to be.

Mum chose to draw the doorway as that is where I would walk out from before going down the aisle.. a symbol of a new door opening, and the start of a wonderful adventure.

We sourced the paper from feather and stone after finding the perfect shade of blue grey – a colour that was continued through the day.  I loved the look of the pressed invitations, and being part of the creative process at Yesterday Creative was really special. We loved seeing our ideas come to life with the thanks of Neisha and her team.”
